I have used salt and stone and it gave me a rash after a few weeks! I second the blue tansy primally pure. Just get ready to sweat more if this is the first time you’re trying non toxic deodorant since it doesn’t have the toxic antiperspirant

MammogramsOk I am 36 years old and curious about mammograms. I hear so many horror stories about young women with breast cancer and it blows my mind insurance won’t cover it until 40. Any advice on if you’ve gotten one covered and are under 40 with no symptoms? Or just advice on this subject in general?

Best way to lose weight and get in shape?!@Playdate-Queen ok so I just finished the 28 day fast metabolism meal plan diet and I lost 9 lbs! Which for my 5 foot 2 short stature that’s a good amount and exactly what I wanted to lose. It does require a significant amount of effort to learn the phases and rules, time to meal prep and I basically ate different meals than my kids most nights. The first week was the hardest but once I understood it, the rest of the weeks weren’t so hard. I honestly feel great and am continuing with gluten free and very limited dairy. Highly recommend the book and searching her website! The fast metabolism by Haylie pomroy, has tons of recipes

Electric Scooters & Bikes - thoughts? So not sure you are going to like my advice but I don’t think I will ever let me kid get on one of those. As an OT who worked with people with acquired traumatic brain injuries, I saw wayyyy too many young adults who suffered awful brain injuries from electric scooters. IF you do decide to get one, I would put very strict rules on it about time of day, how far, what streets it can be used on, obvious helmet requirements! It’s not the kids on the bikes that are scary, it’s the crazy drivers in cars…hope this was somewhat helpful

Husband is DepressedI hear you! We have recently started couples counseling and my husband has opened up about symptoms of depression. We are going to start doing some individual sessions to help that. Cutting alcohol, seeing a functional medicine doctor to check out all labs and can recommend supplements also helped. It’s a hard season of life with little kids and just give grace. I have seen wonderful changes in my husband but the person has to be open to trying to change things. Unfortunately, we had to hit “Rock bottom” for drastic change. Hoping your husband will be open to some help and change.

My Kids Seeking Connection and Need IdeasI make it my goal to spend 15 min a day of quality time with the kids doing whatever. Sometimes I can turn house chores like cooking dinner into fun with having them help chop or mix. We also like to be active, so doing family walks with the dog, playing fetch with dog outside, hiking trails by our house. Or even doing a fun you tube kids yoga class with them!

Best clothing rental company/subscription?Agree with both above comments! Depends on your needs, If needs are more specific fashion events then RTR but if needs are more everyday then Nuuly. I like Nuuly better because they are brands I know my sizes in more and can also go try easily at anthro for some things. They carry petite sizes and always read the reviews of an item before renting! Many times I have gotten brand new items with tags on and sometimes the item is super worn and faded. Just hit or miss. It’s fun to rent trendy things you want to try once or twice. Whichever one you choose, make sure to like and dislike the items because that generates what clothing items show up when you’re scrolling!

Snacks on the go…I like the aloha bars! Clean ingredients, taste good and 14 g of protein. Or some energy balls/bites, navitas is a good clean brand.

VaccinationWe fully vaccinated both of our kids for the long standing vaccines that have been around for years. I believe that if something was around in the 60s really bad and then vaccine helped eradicate that, then why would I purposely put my child at risk for something that can be so easily prevented? However, I am definitely more cautious of any newer vaccines (rsv, covid, etc) because I want longer term data to make an informed decision. It’s a hard decision but you know what works best for your child with guidance from your healthcare provider!

Men are from Mars… women are from VenusTotally hear all of this! I just listened to the Mel Robbins “a guide to intimacy” with a sex therapist and that had some great info and tips. Was a super easy funny listen that y’all could both maybe listen to!

Best way to lose weight and get in shape?!Want to do the same thing! Just met with naturopath Dr. Leslie White who was so helpful with addressing my metabolic issues as a whole. She recommended the book and diet plan The Fast Metabolism. It is a 1 month plan that resets metabolism and you can eat all sorts of food, but it is no processed food, no gluten and no coffee or alcohol. Plus, definitely getting 30 g of protein every meal and daily exercise mix or weights and cardio! We’ve got this!

Career advice@awax2309 I feel you! I am currently trying to transition out of the healthcare world of patient care into more of a remote health tech role and it has been a big learning curve. I have worked with two career coaches (the second one was a much better fit, so definitely need to find the right one for you), revamped my resume, have reached out to my network of friends and have set up many coffee dates. Biggest advice is to go in with an open mind, ready to learn about all different roles you could do and focus on your transferable skills to any role. Really get out there and talk to all friends about your career goals and career shift because more than likely they know someone they can connect you with personally or via LinkedIn. Rather than going in with mindset of “please refer me to someone who can give me a job” go in with learning mindset of “I would love to learn more about their role at this company”. It can definitely be tough but as moms we can do anything!

Chemical pregnancyFor medical reasons and a non viable pregnancy my obgyn offered me the choice to take the 2 pills (misoprostal) to attempt to miscarriage or go in for a D&C. Torn what to do and would love others experiences. I’ve heard sometimes the pills don’t work, and it’s also painful and can be a long process. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Husbands says I’m not “into” sex enough…@Black-Zebra oh girl I am right there with you! I wish I had some amazing advice to offer but we are still navigating this same issue. Straight up told my husband if he wants it at that quantity it’s only going to be “quality into it sex” like 25% of the time because that’s literally ALL I have to give. We did talk about different times of day that might be better than at end of day when exhausted…it’s a tough balance and wishing you best of luck!
