Hey moms, the former Pikopye's Town space off S. Lamar is ready to be taken over. Unfortunately the business was mismanaged and closed a month-ish ago. The Lakeway location is owned independently from this one. The opportunity is to buy the furniture, fixtures and equipment currently in the space, taking over the lease, etc. There are business manuals + computer and POS software that were left behind so you could continue operating pretty soon. Hey team, I currently work from home for a title company. What I do is a little “nichey” and am not necessarily looking to stay in the industry. While I do have some flexibility and autonomy I’m not challenged whatsoever and there’s no upward mobility in this role. Add in a funky housing market and I’m simply not making enough money to support our family. I’m looking for something new and don’t know where to start. I need and want flexibility with two young kids but also want a promising, fulfilling career path. Preference to working from home/hybrid. I’m open to looking to new industry. My career trajectory has been more of a jungle gym than a straight line but my experience ranges from nonprofit, design industry and now title industry. My preschoolers need to take a lunch to school each day and they don’t have a way to heat them up. The other day, my 4 year old looked me in the eye, and said deadly seriously, “Don’t EVER send me cold chicken again. EVER.” So I’m looking for inspiration for things to pack in preschool lunches that are kept cold! He doesn’t typically like to eat things cold that are supposed to be served hot (with pasta being an exception weirdly). We’ve done sun butter sandwiches, mix charcuterie (aka pepperoni, cheese, crackers, fruit) and deli meat roll up’s, each with mixed success depending on the kid and the day What are some things I’m not thinking of??

Does anyone have any helpful tips for routines and things that help you keep your life together as the cruise ship director of the home? I feel like I’m organized but this may just not exist and all I can do is the best I can do husband is great and I can give him direct instruction but any tips to help maintain some semblance of routine/organization with all facets of life?

We have new neighbors renting the house next door to us. The houses are close together and their dog barking is driving me crazy. It’s off and on all day long (deep and loud). And if we are outside, he barks at us right at the fence. I haven’t yet met this new neighbor….what do I do?! If you’re a dog owner, would you be offended if your neighbor voiced their frustration with your dog?

Alright mamas, what’s the deal with party favor bags—do we have to do them? Do your kids expect them? We usually toss ours within 24 hours, but I know the kids are always itching for them at the end of a party. I’ve done PEZ dispensers and lollipop holder characters before, and was thinking character ring pops this time… but my husband swears the kids want the full bag. Any ideas for favors that won’t get tossed? It’s for a 6 y/o boy!
