Does anyone else get anxiety with summer and all the camp schedules? I feel like the mental load of the different camps each week, different drop offs and pick up times is so overwhelming. On top of that I work full time so managing my work schedule with all of that just makes me want to skip over summer. It makes me feel sad because I truly used to love summer as a kid and don't want to dread it!

Uhhhh bc it’s mother effing INSANE!!!!!! I did 5 drop offs and 5 pick ups today with work in between. First drop off was at 7am for swim team. Last pick up was at 4pm from kid #1 camp.
I’ve pretty much accepted defeat. I can only do so much and something is going to come crashing down.
I clearly have no advice but solidarity

Not sure if this is helpful for you or your kids but the lack of routine is something that makes me anxious. I totally think a few lazy days in summer are great, but still want my kids to be used to a morning/evening routine, so I went on canva and used a checklist template to create something for each of them with the steps like “get dressed, pack backpack” etc. and sent it to print with canva in little notepads where they can rip off a sheet each day. I did just words for my 7 year old, words/pictures for my 4.5 year old, and just pictures for my 2.5 year old. Hoping this helps foster a little more independence and ownership of some of these tasks moving forward for the younger two as well!

I'm crashing and burning over here. Hoping to get into a groove soon but it's hard when it's a different camp/different drop off each week. I did not anticipate this and i'm regretting not getting more support for myself. I'm working on hiring more babysitters moving forward. Working feels impossible!
I need to remember this for next Summer. Hire. The. Babysitters.
