it depends on what you want it for.. I find for late 30s- 40's Nuuly has brands that i gravitate more towards. RTR has gotten a lil too trendy and fashion forward for me. ( I'm 40). There's fashionpass, and that def feels more "party wear" too.

I do both RTR and Nuuly, for different reasons. RTR has more fashion-y clothes, and I can usually find fun options for events I have on my calendar. Nuuly is more casual and I usually get sundresses, skirts, activewear and generally just super casual everyday clothes. I have a pretty strong need for both for my life, and the combined monthly costs for both is still cheaper than the retail price on just one of the items I rent from RTR, so the girl math is mathing for me. I also like that if you love an item on either platform, you can buy it for less than retail. I do run into periods here and there when I am not in love with the options that are available when I am ready to rent, but I eventually find enough stuff to fill my shipment!

Agree with both above comments! Depends on your needs, If needs are more specific fashion events then RTR but if needs are more everyday then Nuuly. I like Nuuly better because they are brands I know my sizes in more and can also go try easily at anthro for some things. They carry petite sizes and always read the reviews of an item before renting! Many times I have gotten brand new items with tags on and sometimes the item is super worn and faded. Just hit or miss. It’s fun to rent trendy things you want to try once or twice. Whichever one you choose, make sure to like and dislike the items because that generates what clothing items show up when you’re scrolling!

Nuuly for over 30yr olds unless you have a fab event! It actually saves me money bc I get my dopamine hit from “shopping” but wayyyyyyy less than I used to spend actually buying clothes.

@Green-Lizard Food for thought… I recently read an article about how all of these subscription services are killing personal style. Essentially everyone is wearing the exact same things as everyone else bc that’s what’s available in the app. My recommendation is buy less of higher quality items. Find things you love that can be mixed and matched, so you’ll want to wear them again! If you need help with this, I know a gal! 😉 msg me for info!

Nuuly is my favorite! You can easily pause your subscription at any time and they offer endless brands for tons of different occasions.

I've tried Nuuly and rent the run way... my problem is I don't return the clothes in time and then just get charged every month for the same clothes. KNOW your personality before you sign up and if you will stay on top of the clothes!! I liked Nuuly better, but I would say definitely have to sort by "new items" because I got a lot of items that were worn when I got them.

I’ve used rent the runway since the start so I’m not as consistent with that now but I currently use nuuly. Been renting clothes for 10years!
