Sending my first to kindergarten. Can I get your most helpful tips? Thanks!!

Hi Teachers! How can parents and room parents best support you during this school year??

My husband and I are struggling to decide where to send our 4 yo son to pre-K next year. There’s a public school right by our house. Ratings are pretty terrible and he would be the minority (both race and socioeconomically) which I’m not opposed to, but something I haven’t personally experienced. There’s two private schools we are considering but both faith based and we aren’t religious. Great ratings but very little diversity. I want to give him a great education but also want him to be well rounded and know there’s a world outside his upper middle class white bubble. Ughhh how do you decide what’s “right”?

Where do they fall with sending to kinder? Hold back? Dont? If my baby were a June baby, I’d hold him back. But I feel like March is weird.. help me understand

Where does everyone like to get shoes for their girls these days? My 5 y/o is very loyal to her natives all summer but I know she’ll need some for going back to school. Interested where others like to shop or order from, or brands kids like that are cute and sensible. Also I feel like sizing on Amazon is random and confusing sometimes!

Any favorite apps/products to help keep family calendar organized? Looking for feedback on shared calendars or Skylight? Or is basic paper calendar best? Thanks!!
