Curious as to everyone’s favorite food to bring to the lake/beach? Dips, apps, anything to share. Looking for ideas! Thanks!

Favorite Dip - 16 oz sour cream, ranch dip packet, shredded sharp cheddar (to taste and it’s your preference on thin or thick shredded) and lawrys season salt to taste. You can double for more. I serve with Fritos, wavy plain lays, cucumbers, sliced peppers, really any veggie!

Lake Pasta Salad - big package green and white cheese tortellini cook al dente. Let cool, add toppings, dress with Italian dressing mixed with pesto (can leave out pesto if not a fan)! Toppings I like: chopped walnuts, black olives, all colors of peppers, chopped asparagus.

Taco Dip! Easy to pull together and everyone loves it. Black Beans or refried beans, cream cheese (mixed with taco seasoning), lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, jalapenos, avocados, cilantro. I'll make it even if I don't have all the ingredients. Fruit, especially watermelon. It's so refreshing on hot days! Some say frozen grapes. I don't really like them, but my friends and kids do. And chips. Everyone loves chips, lol! Beef sticks, dried mango.

Yes a second vote for the Knorr’s Spinach Dip! An absolute favorite my MIL has been making for 30 years. Other store bought options include the Trader Joe’s garlic dip, a jar of the TJ’s salsa mixed with a block of cream cheese, Pam’s Pimento Cheese from HEB/Central Market.

I also love a good whipped feta (google for recipes, they’re all pretty similar) AND the Trader Joe’s version is not bad if you’re short on time!

I love a simple hummus and veggies. Also tzatziki and veggies. Sliced watermelon is always a winner as well as sliced apples with cheese cubes or cold green grapes!

Salami/pepperoni/cheese/cracker tray and a tray of pineapple, strawberry and watermelon were big hits memorial weekend with adults & kids!

HEB meals for the win! I love packing the chicken salad, especially the one that includes the crackers, grapes, and cheese. Also the cold pasta salads.
