    Hi friends! I always feel like searching for a great vacation rental turns into a total time suck—it's such a rabbit hole! We're on the hunt for a good (and relatively affordable) family-friendly ski rental. Open to locations—Utah, Colorado, or wherever you've had a great experience. If you have an Airbnb or rental you’ve loved, I’d be so grateful if you'd share it!

      I don't have a specific place to recommend but in terms of places, here's what I would recommend for skiing. It also depends on how old your kids are, as some of the ones we have made a priority are "kids ski free" ones.

      -Crested Butte (kids ski free under 4)
      -Big Sky (kids ski free under 6)
      -Steamboat (Kids 12 years old and younger can ski for free the same number of days as an accompanying adult who purchases a lift ticket for five or more days).
      -Park City (Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade are eligible for five free days of skiing)
      -Brighton, Snowbasin and Snowbird (UTAH) - all VERY affordable, kids ski free and a GREAT starter mountain if you have first timers.

      Also heard great things about New Mexico for beginning skiing as well!

          @Mommy-long-legs
          Love this list but Big Sky is REALLY cold and windy. At least when we went. Prob would only do adults there imo

          Agreed Red River,NM and Angel Fire, NM are good beginner skiing

            @Mums-the-Word thank you! Our 3 kids are elementary school aged. Ideally 2 bedroom but we can sometimes squeeze into a 1 bedroom

              @Mommy-long-legs thank you for this list! Where do you find elementary skis free at Park City? We’ve been looking there. Also like the idea of Brighton etc but unfamiliar with where to stay when venturing out of PC area 😂

                We’ve heard amazing things about Angel Fire Resort, not specifically an Airbnb recommendation, but it’s our top choice right now based on research and friends recommendations: https://www.angelfireresort.com/
